What is Faith-based? Genesis Philosophy of Integrating Faith in Practice:

Our over-arching principle guiding treatment: “Treat patients as you yourself would want to be treated.” Discussions of faith should be therapeutic and non-coercive.  Many patients have belief in God of some sort.  Those beliefs are important to their understanding of life, have an impact on their mental health, and are important to their resiliency.  Therefore, when conducted sensitively, with good boundaries, and following sound scientific practice, discussions of faith and prayer with patients can be extremely helpful to them when appropriate.
